Death Party Uk's 2018 a review of the year

1/5/2019

2018 was a strange and in regards live gigs, a quiet one for the band. Several reasons for this, which include new jobs, new responsibilities, new business and family considerations all of which came together to make 2018 a quiet live gig year. In fact, we did not play outside of our home city once during the whole of 2018!
However, we did manage to release 3 digital singles and a mini album with 4 promo videos during that time, not too mention our ever active regime of song writing and recording with our archive of unreleased studio materiel ever growing.
We hereby vow to get a load more material out, including promo videos for this coming year.
In regards live shows, we have been booked for two top shows already one in Leeds and one in Manchester and we are currently looking to play quality events around the UK, so promoters please drop us a line if interested.
Currently at the time of writing, we have our next digital single scheduled for release on the 28th of January entitled
"Voodoo Eyes"

Picture
A number of you were kind in taking part in our social media poll to help us decide on which song out of two we should put out, and the winner was the afore-mentioned "Voodoo Eyes" which is now in the wings with its promo video even as I type.

We decided to make the official bootleg live album "Death Party UK-Live At The Doghouse" available for FREE on a number of sites and if anyone want's a copy, please drop me a line and I will send you the download link.
Picture
I can currently give you all the heads up on the fact that soon we will be making ANOTHER live album available FREE to Bandcamp subscribers etc soon (keep watching social media for details) called "On This Cold Winter's Evening". This official live bootleg was recorded in December 2017 and is a raw and powerful blammer of a recording. (more info soon)

Picture
Dates are coming in for 2019 and we have just been confirmed for another show in July in Leeds and one for Nottingham in May (details announced soon)
Anyway, that's all the news from us for the moment. Please keep checking on our Facebook page and group, support our VIP page on Bandcamp and book mark our web page.
Stay rocking!

review of the year 2017

1/1/2018

Wow has it really been this long since our last blog!

I can't believe it! One year has gone by since our last official blog! I was supposed to be doing one every few months! I suppose I could blame the fact that I was nose in the computer all the time working on my Masters Degree and my dissertation which took up a lot of hours. Which was true, but all the same, one year since our last blog! My new year's resolution is to make up for that by (yes you guessed it) putting out a blog every few months detailing our progress. However, in the meantime, I have 12 months to look back on before I can go forward, so let's start....

death party uk's american and mexican debut

Picture
Picture
In Feb 2017 Death Party UK played in LA and Mexico City, we had a great time which can be seen from our tour diary which can be read HERE
Since the online diary was published, we have made some video footage of our LA show available on youtube and Facebook, which can be viewed HERE and HERE
Suffice to say that this mini tour of Gothic Festivals was the high point of our year and pretty much a once in a lifetime experience for us. But, we have been asked back and if we can make it happen

gigs in the uk

During 2017 Death Party UK played a number of cool gigs and events all over the UK, working with and supporting some great bands and promoters. What some of you will know is that we keep an up to date diary of all the gigs we play so we can kind of look back on everything which you can find HERE

releases in 2017

We only managed to put out 3 digital singles in 2017 due to the demands of our other activities these being:
She Devil
Batman
Witching Spell
If you want to check out the tracks, please click on the song titles above as they are linked (clever technology eh?)
With that said, we are currently in the process of sorting out the artwork and running order of the next instalment of our "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll" series of releases which will, as usual, feature the above songs as well as bonus tracks and mixes and we think will probably see the light of day by Easter 2018. Again, as always, the release will be made available in limited qualities as a CD, but unlimited as a digital download. Just keep an eye on this web page and our Facebook pages for info as it happens.
Death Party UK band page

Death Party UK group page
Click on the above (yep, same as last time clever technology etc lol).

In all honesty, what I can say is that as a band we have ALREADY mixed and mastered a load of unreleased tracks that are just "in the can" that NEED to be set free and depending how things go this year, we will try and get ANOTHER "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll" out before the end of 2018.

live album(s)

Picture
Now then, back in May 2017 our set supporting Grooving in Green and Red Sun Revival was recorded on digital multi track by Doghouse owner Baz, who kindly sent me the "stems" (tech speak for the different recorded audio tracks). I have mixed and mastered them in the Nightbreed studio with no additional musical overdubs and we have made our raw and real performance available for FREE for all fans and supporters who sign up for our Bandcamp VIP Area. Its a powerful and real, hell I even left my vocal mistakes in, even when I cracked up laughing at my own vocal mistake in "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll"! Anyway, if you want a copy of this album plus loads of other cool stuff please check out our Bandcamp VIP Area.
VIP Area
When we played the Doghouse again on the 9.12.2017 supporting Inkubus Sukubus, Bazz again recorded our set and even as I type I am in the process of mixing and mastering the gig, even at this stage the recording is sounding so strong it could knock the head off a pint of beer! As to when and how this recording will be available, I am not sure. Once again I suggest that you keep checking out our sites for more info.

videos

We have always been big on videos in Death Party UK, but we work a little contrary to all established music industry thought. What ought to be done is that the promo video for a single is released the same time as the track. But what we have fallen into doing is to create the video "when we get chance" which is usually a a little while after the release of the song. So, this year we have managed to put together promo videos for all of the digital singles with the most recent of these promo videos (the one for Witching Spell) being released during the "Crimbo Limbo" between Xmas and New Year which you can see.....
HERE
All of the other promo videos as well as a selection of live video recordings and backstage messing about can be see HERE

new release

On the 1.1.18 we released our new digital single "My Own Way" on all digital formats including our own Bandcamp site. A song about freedom and being yourself no mater what the cost, (also a short mention of black pants as sung by Scarlet, well, you know it rhymed so why not! Lol). Here is the link to the Bandcamp site, please click on the pic as due to the wonders of technology, I have embedded a link!

current future plans

So what is on the slate for us in 2018? At the moment we are having a rest from playing live as we both work on other music and creative projects. We will start playing live again from April 2018 onwards with dates being confirmed and publicised as details come in. However, keep your eyes peeled as there will be a number of live videos being uploaded on here and social media, most specifically the live video of our "Live At The Doghouse" live album, the first instalment already ready to go with future instalments currently being edited for release.
Also, expect "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll Volume 3" to be announced pretty soon. As well as details of our Patreon page......
In the meantime, keep watching our website and our social media sites for info as it happens and we hope to see you down the front at one of our shows and that you make the leap of becoming a VIP Supporter on our bandcamp page.
THAT SOUNDS COOL, TAKE ME THERE NOW!
Until the next event and or blog update.
Keep he fire burning!

REVIEW OF THE DEATH PARTY YEAR 2016

12/31/2016

As the New Year's dust settles, the party streamers are swept away and the beer can's of a quality night's partying are picked up for the recycle bin. Its time for reflection, to look back on the year that was.
The year 2016 started for Death Party UK with a New Year's resolution. We set out to release a series of digital singles every 6 weeks or so, culmulating every 6 months or thereabouts with a compendium limited edition CD containing the singles as well as remixes and a few rare or exclusive bonus tracks. The name we have for the CD release series is "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll". So far, we have pretty much managed to achieve this schedule and we intend to continue working in this way in 2017.  Just in case you missed them, here are the CD's we have put out so far.
Picture
Picture
Wherever possible, whenever we released a track we tried to link it to a specific promo video, but we did not quite manage to get that done for every release due to lack of time and other commitments. So far at the time of writing this blog, we have an almost completed promo video for The Devil's Music, which may see the light of day at some point as well as a basic story board for the song Shadows, perhaps we will get the chance to complete the videos in 2017.
Picture
Picture
The original reason for the above campaign was to help us get back in the saddle again after the demise of Crysella Records and to put out the stored tracks we were gradually compiling for our contracted debut album as well as follow up album that we had begun recording in 2015.
At the time of writing, there are still a number of achive tracks still to surface, although we expect they will come out gradually as we continue with our on-going Hellfire Rock'n'Roll project.
Which, as a sort of  extended New Year's resolution, we will coninue to work in this way in 2017.
By the end of 2017 I would like to say that we have two more volumes of Hellfire out. So fingers crossed that we keep the focus and get those mini albums out!
Picture
So how did we do gig wise? Well, we played some great gigs with some great people in some great places. A full and in depth round up of the shows can be found HERE

But below are a few pixs taken over the year, pretty much in date order.

There have been more shows, but unfortunately we don't have pictures for them yet, if anyone has got other pics of us we'd appreciate a copy.  Please just send them to us and I will put them up on our site;  mcdarklord@gmail.com
We had sone great times this year, and if you want to check out how we sounded and what happened at the shows, check out this page HERE
One of my fave moments of the year is right here!

Closely followed by this.
And, none of that was scripted in anyway! Sort of captured the whole fun feeling of the night, and in fact every night Death Party UK play.

So, where are we going in 2017? So far the shows are gradually coming in and we will start to promote them soon. But the most exiting news is that we are going to play The Los Angeles Gothic Festival on the 17th of Feb and The Mexico City Gothic Festival on the 18th of Feb! We are so totally knocked out by the opportunity to play these great events and we are currently getting things ready for those two shows. Be assured that ther will be a gig diary as well as video and photos in order to chronical the event!
Picture
Picture
We also are commited to the Hellfire Rock'n'Roll project for 2017 and will be releasing our next digital single on the 6th of March called "She Devil". The one after that 17th April called "Batman" (featuring Scarlet on lead vocals for the first time)  and 29th May single title tbc.

OK, that's it everyone, our review of the year and news for the next year as we know it on this day 1.1.2017. But anything could happen, and knowing our luck, probably will.
See you down the front for some non stop rocking!

Death Party UK Late Summer Update

Death Party uk- blog august 2016

Picture
I know it's been a while since we did a blog and we are sorry for the wait. Loads of stuff has been happening and I have just not had the time to write it all up.

First up, as some of you will know "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll Volume One" was released a few months back and it available digitally unlimitedly and physically in the form of a cd which is stricktly limited and hand numbered. We will never go for more than 3 pressings of this item and the first pressing is almost sold out. So if you want one, please contact us a.s.a.p

mcdarklord@gmail.com

The cost is £6.99 which includes postage anywhere in the world!!!
Picture
The basic idea we have is that the "album" as a sociological artistic event for a band is currently not in step with our technological newsgroup social media driven society. We have, for better or for worse, as a consumptive society gone back to the "single" as the main dynamic for a band to show off it's work. Soooo we have decided to constantly release digital singles and every now and again, collect them up, include remixes of the singles and possibly some bonus tracks. Then release a limited edition compendium of the work produced so far. We have decided to call this series "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll". So we intend to release volume two, volume three etc until we can't do it anymore!! Expect Volume Two around October 2016 time.

Picture
OK so what digital singles have we put out since the last blog? Here they are below. Click the links to buy them or to pre order your digital single.
Here's the link to the promo video for "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll"

And out on the 5th of September 2016.

We have been pretty busy with live shows over the past few months and have played some great gigs with some great people in some great places. Check out our gig diary for our reviews of each night. Gig Diary

So its time for a live break, but releases will continue as mentioned above. We can also confirm that the October digital single will be called "Catwoman"..... More info soon.

However, we will be back on the road for winter 2016 and in the early new year of 2017, Death Party UK will be playing both LA and Mexico City. Check out the fliers above and below!

Winter

3/3/2016

Winter eh? horrible! Cold wet, nothing much happening as everyone want's to just stay at home in front of a warm fire and drink tea or soup or something?

Well, the good news is that winter and it's cold torpor is gradually coming to an end and there are signs of life here and there. Gig's are starting to be booked, as are festival dates and releases are being sorted and scheduled.

So what's happening with Death Party UK I hear you ask?
First up in Jan we released "Skintight" as a digital single available as a download only accompanied by a rather neat promo video (I would like to say) as you can see below.
Picture
and on 1.04.2016 we will be releasing our second digital single "The Devil's Music" with another promo video which will be premiered the same day as the single's release.

Our plan is then to release a limited edition CD (Available only at our gigs and via our website and via official online and offline companies tba.) with a working title of "Hellfire Rock N Roll Volume 1". With such a title as that you will be correct in assuming that there will be other volumes. There will be other volumes as we collate a number of additional singles. Oh, did I mention that "Hellfire Rock N Roll Volume 1" will also feature a collection of bonus remixes of the singles we have released as well as one or two bonus tracks previously unreleased.  More info soon!

Hot off the press news!
Just recently we announced that Death Party UK have joined up with German company JNP who plan to represent us digitally in Germany Austria and Switzerland with "The Devil's Music" with an option to re-release our older 4 digital singles for the German market in the next few months. JNP is the home of bands such as:

Bloodsucking Mallory
Long Night
Script 6
Laudanum
All Hallows Eve
Schlagwetter
Mallory Murdock

As the dust settles

I know, I know it's been a little while since our last blog post, but as some of you may know. Scarlet and I have had a lot on our plate. A new business launch, a house and studio move etc. The months have just streamed by and even though we did get a few gig's in during that period, we have not been as active as Death Party UK as we would have liked.

As the dust is settling we are starting to see through the haze a little. Last week I set up the relocated Nightbreed Studio and the first tracks I checked were from Death Party UK. Just a great boost and a focusing call! Over the next few months we hope to get back on track with recording new material that would form the structure of our debut album. In the meantime we think we ought to release another digital single, but we are as yet to decide on which of the new songs it will be. Expect an announcement over the next few weeks.

In addition to this, we are hoping to get some more live shows under our belt as well as the much promised live internet show! (remember that?) Also we have a load of unedited footage of our last few shows which we hope to put up here and on the social media sites very soon. Stand by for announcements.
Anyway, I had better get back to things.
More news as it happens!

Hi Everyone.

As regular supporters of the world of Death Party UK, you will probably already know that both Arcane Winter and Death Party UK have signed to Crysella Records in Germany for a three year two album deal. This was something we knew was on the cards and we were working away under the covers for quite some time. The next batch of info is when the albums from these bands will be released and what tour dates and with which bands they will be playing with. Hopefully once things are confirmed, we will be informing you all a little at a time as the info comes together. In the meantime, jet on over to the band sites to read our statement on this exciting development.

Death Party UK

In the studio!

Yes, yes I know we are still in the studio! Well, we are not in there the whole time (but would'nt that be lovely! ahhhhh) anyway, no, we are in the studio in between doing all the other things that keep Scarlet and I busy, such as  T Bamford Furniture being the main one with us buying and selling great retro and antique furniture to an eager world! But more of that if you click on the link! On this site we are wearing our Hellfire Rock and Roll hats! speaking of which, we were working on that song and a few more just recently. Here is a link to the pictures on Facebook!
Hellfire Rock n Roll
The work is slow and steady but it is on it's way and boy oh boy are we exited to get these tunes to you!

More stuff!

The Kissing Skull Festival

As some of you will know is now confirmed, up and running and due to take place on the 19th of September. We have got an amazing set of bands playing all for the the tiny sum of £4 a ticket if you buy in advance. This is a one off, a line up that will not be repeated at any time soon. As is usual for Nightbreed, we are showing respect for the achievments of the past as well as pushing onto and into the future with this event. Here is the press release for the event.

The Kissing Skull Festival Press Release
19.9.15
The Chameleon Arts Cafe Nottingham
20 years ago a band called Midnight Configuration released an album called “The Kissing Skull”. The album had been in production for some 12 months or more and was the debut album by this band.
Midnight Configuration had been an artistic project that gradually grew out of the studio and onto stages around the UK and Europe. All due to requests from fans and then label mates Suspiria and 13 Candles, who needed another band to tour with.
The album caused shock waves throughout the Gothic community due to its revolutionary use of technology as well as its visual and lyrical content. Gothic bands were not supposed to be like this! Weren’t they?
“The Kissing Skull” to many defined the most extreme edge of the then new UK Gothic underground that had evolved out of the ember’s of the first wave of 80’s bands and the new German Gothic Darkwave movement that was gradually crossing the English Channel. Thanks to organisations such as Nightbreed Recordings, who were importing and promoting this new wave to a tired and thirsty UK Gothic scene, a new movement in the early to mid 90’s had come into being and was now starting to make its self felt. “The Kissing Skull” captured this zeitgeist alongside releases such as “Come Out Of The Dark” by 13 Candles, and “The Great And Secret Show” by Suspiria. All released in the same year.
This festival celebrates this album and this time with a special one off, one night only, reunion performance by the legendary Midnight Configuration who will be playing tracks from that period as well as a performance by 13 Candles of the entire “Come Out Of The Dark” album!
But Nightbreed is not just about nostalgia, and never was! The new generation of the Nightbreed and Nightbreed connected is also represented on this bill alongside Midnight Configuration with performances from Post Punk Gothic Rock Behemoths Arcane Winter. Who have signed a 3 year 2 album deal with German underground label Crysella Records. Gothic Rock maestro’s Faces Of Sarah who
will be playing the 'Belief' ep (first release) in it's entirety for the first time in 15 years.  And last but not least Goth n Roll Gothabilly Rebel’s Death Party UK who have similarly signed a 3 year 2 album deal with Crysella.
So what’s the info on this great, one off event? Ladies and gentlemen, please follow me to the darkside below.....

How much to get in? In advance £4.00 available from

http://www.nightbreedrecordings.org/tickets.html

On the door.£5.00 (Subject to space availability)

Doors Open 7pm (Early start, book that in your diary!)

Running Order:
Stage Times:
7:25- 7:50 Death Party UK
8:00- 8:30 Faces Of Sarah
8:40-9:20 Arcane Winter
9:30- 10:15 13 Candles
10:30-11:15 Midnight Configuration
What a bill, and a bill that won’t be repeated any time soon! So do your utmost to BE THERE!

Easter Calling

3/27/2015

Picture
Easter is almost here once again and with it the mass eating of chocolate eggs. A couple of questions though? Why does Easter "move". If it was all about when Jesus was resurrected, surely that was one day? It can't be moved, a bit like moving Christmas day around if it was not convenient for people? The second question, why the eggs? I imagine they represent the idea of birth, or at least the promise of birth. Also why chocolate? I don't think that there was much in the way of chocolate in the Holly Land at the time of Jesus's return from the dead? I wonder if a little paganism has not seeped into the public consiousness? Hmmmm (One ponders and one puts finger to chin)

How fast the year goes!  Only a short time ago it was Christmas and all that it brings, good or bad. Now when I look at the calender I think.
"That time of year already?"
The thought then crosses your mind that you had better sort out all the plans you have for the coming year, previously you thought that you had loads of time to get tickets, book gigs, buy a winter coat (ulp). But now, suddenly the race is on! Got to book accommodation, pay for the car, make sure the tax return is done etc, etc.
Someone once said that as you get older time seems to go by faster. I think that is true. My days are a blur of activity and the weeks get gobbled up. Days seem like hours and weeks seem like days!

Death Party UK

We had a great show opening the Kitty Tray On Demand event at The Antenna Media on the 27th of Feb. Promoters were great, the other acts were great, the crowd were both understanding and great. The only thing that was less than great was the venue and staff.  You can read more about what happened HERE and HERE. By contrast we had a great gig with our friends The Danse Society. Thanks go out to to them as we also recently supported in Sheffield. Great gig for everyone all round! Currently I can say that Death Party UK is looking for a few other shows and we will confirming some dates very soon. Keep watching our blog.

We can also say that we have done a new photoshoot, expect more images soon and we have finished recording two more tracks for the debut album. Namely Skintight and Moving On. We are about to start work or writing and recording more material including another cover. Which will be announced soon!   Death Party UK are to release their debut album a little later than AW. So it's not a surprise to say that they are about halfway through recording the album. However on the 10.4.15 DPUK will be releasing their second digital single "Mark Of The Vampire".
As it happens, all things going well, we will be recording the promo video over the next few days. And yes it WILL be recorded in a graveyard and yes it will be in a ruined church and yes it will have a connection with Hucknall's famous "bad boy" Lord Byron! BTW did I ever tell you that we live no more than 1000 yards from the Gothic romantic poet's grave?

Oh, just as I am going to press with this blog Ash sent me some more pix. One at the top is from that collection. I have also tried to give it an Easter theme. Hope it is ok? Lol.
OK, So what's happening in the world of Nightbreed?

The studio has apart from being used for the above, been the centre of recording interviews for Radio Gothic for both AW and DPUK. Radio Gothic is a great station who is helping to promote underground bands and I suggest that everyone give them a listen.  The AW and DPUK interviews, if you missed them can be heard HERE and HERE.

Nightbreed Radio.

We were well stoked at the creation of the Nightbreed Radio apps for Android, Blackberry and iPhone and we welcome new listeners to the station as well as regular listeners who now have a great and convenient way of checking out the station.
New tracks, new shows, new listeners. Its a constant cycle of new material aimed at supporting the Gothic Underground. Expect things to continue as always in that department. Also look out for info on this year's World Goth Day coming soon.

Arcane Winter

Nick has just come back from his annual pilgrimage to New Zealand so we can now get the bass lines recorded for the songs Taste The Echo, No Way Back and Sister Shame. Whilst he was away we got busy laying down the drums and main guitar lines with a few keys to save time. Now we can get moving in order to get the last 3 tracks done for the album.
One thing to look out for though, we are considering having a listening party for all fans and friends of the band to help us decide which tracks make the album and also what order to put them. I think this may be part of our intended crowd funding project to finance the album. But more of that soon. Arcane Winter has just about finished recording their debut album "Welcome To Winter" and there will be an announcement soon regarding its release. Keep watching social media channels.

The Ice Is Going!

At last the signs are there that the winter is gradually starting to leave us. The mornings are getting lighter and the cold seems not quite so penetrating as it was a few weeks ago. There are stirring's of life here, and once again we are starting to see that there is change in the air. And not just the fact that the cat is moulting AGAIN!

Death Party UK.

Working hard on the full length album which once again will be both digital and physical and out hopefully early Autumn 2015. No title yet but it's gradually percolating and will probably bubble up and make it's self known soon.  A new single is in the bag and will be announced soon. A couple of shows coming up and they are:
Antenna Nottingham 27th of Feb
South Seas Sheffield 7th of March

We are hoping to have some more dates confirming soon including the proposed live internet show!
Also. Death Party UK are featured on a great new digital fundrasing compilation album. We have donated an EXCLUSIVE version of a track is called "Hellzapoppin" and it is an alternate version of our most recent single. So go out and grab it. What are you waiting for!

A few words about this compilation

"If everyone who reads this forks out at least £5.00 to get this comp. On Air Tunes will get some of the revenue it needs to keep buying licences etc, to keep updating the equipment needed to broadcast great underground music FOR FREE over the internet so that bands can have a platform to promote thier music to a global audience. So that people can find genuine music that has not been churned out at a plastic pop factory and autotuned to death! People often moan to me about the decline of the Gothic underground citing "how much better it was in the 80's/ 90's" (delete where applicable). Here's the thing, back in those days people had to buy records or cds, not just wait till something was released and then copy it or skank an mp3 from someone. Now with this compilation, its everyone's chance to make a difference and not just to sit there waiting for someone else to do something. We all need to work together to keep the fire burning!"

With the Antenna show coming up on the 27th of Feb. We are hard at work practicing and Scarlet has created two, count em! Two new shirts for me to wear on stage. One of which will be debuted alongside Scarlet's new stage outfit on  the 27th. We have just found out that we will also be recording a radio interview on thursday the 19th for Radio Gothic which will be broadcast via thier platform soon. In the meantime, as soon as we have a copy, we will be putting up on Trev's Mixcloud site and streaming it here! In addition to that Scarlet and I have been called to do a photoshoot on sunday 22nd. We expect to be able to get copies of the pix which will also feature one of my new shirts! You can tell I am happy about these shirts! lol Anyway, feedback to us on the comments box below and check out the other stuff we are involved in! More soon.

Bands are starting to release music again, as a DJ on Nightbreed Radio I am getting more and more new music to play. The promotion for the Summer and Autumn festivals is gradually starting to become more frequent and  dynamic. Two of the best festivals that come to mind are Alice's Wicked Tea Party with a truly eclectic mix of music and in a location famous for UFO sightings! It's small, independent, and open air. What more could anyone want?

Also The Bram Stoker Film Festival which is without doubt the most exiting and dynamic festival that completely celebrates the Gothic in it's truest and most complete sense. A wonderful and inspiring mixture of the BEST alternative/Gothic/Dark Rock bands around  as well as films, DJ's, alternative performers etc. It's the festival that the UK has been craving for!

Other similar festivals of note that are gradually kicking into promo gear are The Dark Waters festival in Nottingham andSacrosanct  in Reading. I expect that over the next few weeks and months we will hear  a lot more from the above festivals as well as many others yet tbc.

Another one to look forward to is The Kissing Skull Festival which is inspired by the 20th anniversary of the release of Midnight Configuration's The Kissing Skull. Plans are gradually being drawn and we hope to make an announcement regarding the mini festival soon.

Arcane Winter.

Still working on the recording of "Welcome To Winter" the band's debut full length album which will be released in both digital and physical formats and to be released in late summer 2015. Its been over a year in the making, but trust me, It will turn heads when it's released! An onslaught of Post Punk Gothic power and darkened sensibilities the like has not been seen since in many years. It will quite literally, blow the cobwebs away!
In the meantime, new single "Thirteen" is out on the 20th of Feb as a taster for the power that is to come.
Also. Arcane Winter are featured on a great new digital fundrasing compilation album. We have donated an EXCLUSIVE edit mix of a track to be released on our debut album. The track is called "Another Sorrow Edit" and it is an edited version of a track soon to be released. You can get ahead of the que and grab yourself a copy right here, as well as supporting a fantastic cause.

T Bamford Guitar Tutor.

All is going well, I picked up a new guitar the other day. A vintage 80's White Shadow off eBay. But the hamfisted Parcel Farce managed to damage the guitar and it is now at the Rock n Roll doctors for a full overhaul and a refit. But the end result will be worth it. There will be pictures and  a little guitar story soon.

My student list is filling up. If you want to book your tuition slot, get back to me soon! I was thinking of doing a couple of tutorial videos. Not sure what, in box me if you have any requests for things you might like me to cover. Alt tuning's scales use of effects?

T Bamford Furniture.

Wow its a busy world in the world of furniture at the moment. New stock is coming in every week and I took the recent break in the weather to get some of the stock photographed outside with my shiny new camera which was great. Its so much nicer to use  a decent camera, its like it does a lot of the work for you and the results are loads better.Crisp and clear.

Anyway, that's about it for the moment.More info in a couple of weeks time.BTW any feedback on this blog is most welcome.

Febuary The coldest but yet coolest!

I have a thing about the month of February. It is, or always seems to be, the dog end of the year. Its cold, everyone has colds. Weird weather seems to happen at this time. There are few gigs or events (due to the damn weather probably) few releases and everyone seems under the kosh. The Xmas expense seems to be finally kicking in etc. Also a number of rubbish things seem to happen. And its cold, did I mention it was cold?
Anyway, lets attempt to chase the February blues away with a few bits of info from our musical world.

Death Party UK.

This month sees the band's debut live performance at Antenna in Nottingham as part of "Kitty Tray On Demand" on 27th of Feb. The band will be playing a short 15 min set which will be accompanied by a a backscreen projector illustrating each song as they progress through the set. So should be suitably mad!

In addition to that the band are gradually piling up recorded tracks for the debut album to be released early autumn. The current thought is that the album will be a remastered collection of some of the older releases as well as a large number of all new "Hellfire Rock n Roll" tracks. The predicted release date is Autumn 2015. Scarlet Moonchild Bamford is currently busy creating new stage clothes for the band. "When she stop's, nobody knows!"  We can also announce that Death Party UK are to support The Danse Society on 7the of March 2015.

Midnight Configuration/The Kissing Skull Festival.
