REVIEW OF THE DEATH PARTY YEAR 2016

12/31/2016

As the New Year's dust settles, the party streamers are swept away and the beer can's of a quality night's partying are picked up for the recycle bin. Its time for reflection, to look back on the year that was.
The year 2016 started for Death Party UK with a New Year's resolution. We set out to release a series of digital singles every 6 weeks or so, culmulating every 6 months or thereabouts with a compendium limited edition CD containing the singles as well as remixes and a few rare or exclusive bonus tracks. The name we have for the CD release series is "Hellfire Rock'n'Roll". So far, we have pretty much managed to achieve this schedule and we intend to continue working in this way in 2017.  Just in case you missed them, here are the CD's we have put out so far.

Wherever possible, whenever we released a track we tried to link it to a specific promo video, but we did not quite manage to get that done for every release due to lack of time and other commitments. So far at the time of writing this blog, we have an almost completed promo video for The Devil's Music, which may see the light of day at some point as well as a basic story board for the song Shadows, perhaps we will get the chance to complete the videos in 2017.

The original reason for the above campaign was to help us get back in the saddle again after the demise of Crysella Records and to put out the stored tracks we were gradually compiling for our contracted debut album as well as follow up album that we had begun recording in 2015.
At the time of writing, there are still a number of achive tracks still to surface, although we expect they will come out gradually as we continue with our on-going Hellfire Rock'n'Roll project.
Which, as a sort of  extended New Year's resolution, we will coninue to work in this way in 2017.
By the end of 2017 I would like to say that we have two more volumes of Hellfire out. So fingers crossed that we keep the focus and get those mini albums out!

So how did we do gig wise? Well, we played some great gigs with some great people in some great places. A full and in depth round up of the shows can be found HERE

There have been more shows, but unfortunately we don't have pictures for them yet, if anyone has got other pics of us we'd appreciate a copy.  Please just send them to us and I will put them up on our site;  mcdarklord@gmail.com
We had sone great times this year, and if you want to check out how we sounded and what happened at the shows, check out this page HERE
One of my fave moments of the year is right here!

Closely followed by this.
And, none of that was scripted in anyway! Sort of captured the whole fun feeling of the night, and in fact every night Death Party UK play.

So, where are we going in 2017? So far the shows are gradually coming in and we will start to promote them soon. But the most exiting news is that we are going to play The Los Angeles Gothic Festival on the 17th of Feb and The Mexico City Gothic Festival on the 18th of Feb! We are so totally knocked out by the opportunity to play these great events and we are currently getting things ready for those two shows. Be assured that ther will be a gig diary as well as video and photos in order to chronical the event!

We also are commited to the Hellfire Rock'n'Roll project for 2017 and will be releasing our next digital single on the 6th of March called "She Devil". The one after that 17th April called "Batman" (featuring Scarlet on lead vocals for the first time)  and 29th May single title tbc.

OK, that's it everyone, our review of the year and news for the next year as we know it on this day 1.1.2017. But anything could happen, and knowing our luck, probably will.
See you down the front for some non stop rocking!
Trev and Scarlet
